In this work, Cheech Marin’s 31-year-old masterpiece film "Born in East L.A" (about a Mexican-American accidentally deported from the U.S) is comparatively annotated and brought into contemporary consideration. The work blends and chafes against contemporary ICE raids, evasion strategies, angry white men, jokes, and breakdowns of communication.
